Hiking in Harties

Phaladingwe means “prettier than others” and this trail lives up to its name by offering beauty & interest for both hikers & nature lovers. This Hike is suitable for anyone of moderate fitness, and can also be combined with

Abseiling, Rock Climbing, Archery or River Rafting.

What you need to bring:
  • Appropriate footwear, like hiking boots/shoes, or a good pair of sport shoes
  • A hat – preferably with a wide brim and a neck strap (for windy conditions) or, a peak/baseball cap
  • Sun block
  • Warm clothing and rain gear – the weather in the mountains can change unexpectedly and sudden drops in temperature are common
  • Your own water bottle, with at least 500ml of water per hour of your adventure
  • Binoculars & a camera if you have and want to carry it with you.
  • A day pack in which to carry all your personal items, water etc.
